Glencore: H1 2021 distribution – determination of amounts in foreign currencies

Glencore confirms that:

  1. as approved by shareholders at yesterday’s general meeting, it will repay capital on May 21, 2021 to holders registered in the Jersey register at the close of business on April 23, 2021

  2. this redemption is $ 0.06 per ordinary share and must be made in US dollars, although shareholders of record in Jersey who have switched to a different currency before April 26, 2021 will receive their distribution payments in pounds sterling, in euros or Swiss francs. Shareholders who previously held shares through the Computershare Hong Kong nominee will receive distribution payments in US dollars, unless they elect to receive payments in Swiss francs, pounds sterling or euros, or subscribe to the global payment service to choose to receive payments in the currency of their choice (including Hong Kong dollars), before April 26, 2021.
    The elections will remain in force until they are revoked by the shareholder.

  3. the amounts payable in pounds sterling, euros and Swiss francs are determined by reference to the average closing exchange rates applicable to the US dollar on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
