NEW DELHI: The president of the National Green Court, Judge Adarsh ​​Kumar Goel, on Saturday called on the authorities and citizens to restore the environment and the ecosystem.

World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 and the theme of this year’s event is “Promoting Biofuels for a Better Environment”.

The NGT was established on October 18, 2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act 2010 for the efficient and expeditious resolution of cases relating to environmental protection and the conservation of forests and other natural resources, including enforcement all legal rights relating to the environment and the granting of relief and compensation. for damage to persons and property, and for matters relating thereto or incidental thereto.
